About the role
As Development Engineer Polymers you will work alongside dedicated specialists that all share your desire to develop safe and convenient packaging solutions to the food industry, with minimal environmental impact. As our expert in polymer chemistry your main responsibility will be to develop our next generation of materials and food packages. You will participate in the creation and use of raw materials and material recipes, as well as working with verification and validation in production. You will collaborate closely with suppliers, Technical Manager Materials and Film & Packages Production to ensure manufacturable materials and solutions.
We expect you to stay up-to-date with the latest developments in polymer science and propose innovative ideas to enhance product performance and sustainability.
Who are you?
We are looking for a skilled development engineer with experience from all phases of product development. We think you have a bachelor’s or higher degree in Chemical Engineering, Polymer Science, Materials Engineering or related field and several years of proven experience in polymer development and formulation for packaging, preferable within food industry. You also have knowledge and experience in root cause analysis, and improvement work. Experience from process development and working closely with cross-functional teams to scale up polymer manufacturing processes and support with troubleshooting is a great advantage.
Since the customer is at the core of our business, we appreciate a holistic view and a business-oriented mindset. Solid ability to write and communicate in Swedish and English is a must. As a person you should be a problem-solving team-player who is thriving in fast paced development. With the ability to challenge and inspire people, you are well equipped for this mission.
