This focus area collects the objectives and approaches concerning employees, customers and society.
To Ecolean, being a fair company and workplace is essential and five out of seven objectives within the People focus area concern the welfare of our employees.
Equally important is the impact we make on society, and how we can support our customers. One of the objectives within People , where this ambition is shown, is “We provide the world with safe and convenient packaging solutions for liquid food”. Ecolean works with environmental and quality management systems to continuously improve our safe solutions. When it comes to convenience, all Ecolean packages are approved by the Swedish Rheumatism Association as easy-to-open and easy-to-use. With the global population becoming older it’s an important proof on one of the sustainable features of the Ecolean packages.
Within Packaging Solutions, the objectives and approaches concerning the environmental impact from the production and the products manufactured are presented.
The objectives are based on thorough analysis and a life cycle perspective, where four of the five objectives strive to reduce the environmental impact even further. However, the Ecolean focus goes beyond our own impact and performance. As one step in this, Ecolean has joined forces with the full value chain for flexible packaging and joined a European project called CEFLEX. The project mission is to make flexible packaging more relevant to the circular economy by advancing better system design solutions via the collaboration of companies representing the entire value chain.
